St. John's University Rugby - Memorial Bench

With the SJU ruggers that we have lost since our glory days of the 70's and 80's (Warren and Alan recently, with Eddie, Joe and Gary from the past) we thought it was time to memorialize the passing of all SJU Rugby Football Club members in perpetuity with a plaque on a bench on the St. John's campus. The bench is located in front of Alumni Hall, less than 100 yards from where we have the memorial tree for Gary Desena.  Some benches were placed there when they pedestrianized the roadway in front of Alumni Hall.
Pat Bradley and I spoke with a rep from the University a few weeks ago, and she told us that memorializing a bench would cost $2,500.  We would have a plaque placed on the backing of the bench, wording to be determined (something in the order of "In memory of all our St. John's University Rugby Players that are no longer with us. May they rest in peace"). Maybe we will include a rugby ball on the plaque, TBD. Looking to raise the funds necessary through this GoFundMe page, hoping we have the necessary amount within a couple of months, maybe faster.
