St Mary of Zion Building Fund 2020
In 1974 the first Ethiopian Orthodox Church established here in London UK, was to take the name, St Mary of Zion keeping with the theme ‘the first church’ in Ethiopia.
It has been 46 years of moving from building to building around London and by the grace of God, we have managed to buy a property, however it needs extensive renovation works to be done in order for us to use it for worship.
Providing a permanent place of worship and providing a permanent resting place for the tabot of the Holy Virgin Mary would mean everything for our congregation and community.
It is hoped that this online appeal will drive up funds, so we are in a position to finish our renovation.
