St. Michael's Rowing Club and Limerick Suicide Watch
Donation protected
St Michael's Rowing Club, O'Callaghan Stand Limerick, are holding our annual Ergathon fundraiser to help support our ambitious new boat purchase plans and to support our charity partner Limerick Suicide Watch.
The club members & supporters will Row, Run, Cycle, Hike & Walk as many kilometres as possible on Saturday 14th December at the club in O’Callaghan Strand. Members, friends and families are all invited to attend and to take part. Every kilometre and every euro counts.
It will be a great club social event for those that can attend and don’t forget the Christmas jumpers!
This season we are looking to use this fundraiser, and others to come, to upgrade our fleet. We are still using a number of 30 year old quads and doubles that need urgent replacing. Please donate what you can to help.
Similar to previous years the club will also be partnering up with Limerick Suicide Watch who will share in the funds being raised. St Michaels and LSW have had a long & successful partnership and we are delighted to be able to help the charity again with this event.
As well as the main event at the club we are also inviting the wider SMRC diaspora worldwide to participate. Lets get all members, ex-members, families and friends clocking up the mileage. We’ll be tallying the total km’s travelled and hopefully top last years figure (which would have seen us row from the club to the Paris Olympics, and back!).
Show your support by donating, and sending us your kms to add to the total. A GoFundMe page for the event will be available for donations.
