St. Nick Benjamin Cancer Medical Fund
Donation protected
St. Nick is a faithful servant of God, a Dad to Luna (1 yr), a 'bonus'-Dad to Carmelo, Gianna & Alina, a life partner to Christina, a son, brother, uncle, friend and a soccer coach and life mentor to 1,000's of children.
After months of doctor visits, ultra sounds, scans and biopsies, St. Nick's world was turned upside down on January 22 when he was diagnosed with not only one but TWO rare cancers. He has a high grade neuroendocrine tumor and Merkel cell carcinoma.
St. Nick is paralyzed with the shock of this news and is in a constant state of worry. He has quickly learned that his insurance will not cover many critical aspects of his care including the urgent surgery that is scheduled for March 2nd at UCSD in La Jolla, CA. This is considered "out of network" and will not be covered. Following surgery he will learn of his long-term treatment plan which may include radiation, chemotherapy, integrative therapies and experimental trials.. The financial costs he will face is staggering. St. Nick is strong and determined. He will not give up without a fight. Luna needs her Daddy and we all need St. Nick.
We are sharing this story because help is needed. If you can make a financial donation to help, we would be forever grateful. St. Nick has great faith in the goodness of others, and the Grace of God. If you cannot donate, please share this story and pray. Thank you for all of the support.
