St. Vincent Volcano Fundraising
Donation protected
Hi Friends of St.Vincent and the Grenadines,
I am Ann-Marie Brooks - a Vincentian born living in the UK.
You will now be aware that explosive eruptions at the La Soufriere volcano in St.Vincent began on Friday 9 April 2021, which caused thousands of people to evacuate their homes.
It pains my heart to see the destruction of my beautiful island and beloved people who have been terribly affected, especially those persons who had to evacuate their homes and are now living in shelters, and may do so for many months.
As a result, I am coordinating donations such as food, toiletries, beddings and clothing to be shipped to St.Vincent. These donations would be offered to Reach SVG, which is a Christian Charity in St.Vincent. They will then distribute the items to those persons who are at shelters in the Marriaqua area. Many who have now lost their homes due to heavy ash falls and pyroclastic flows.
However, shipping these items is not free. And here is where I need your support.
I would like to raise £1000.00 for purchasing and shipping the barrels.
Any left over from the donations would be used to purchase food, which would be shipped to St.Vincent.
Your support will help those directly affected receive the critical support they need.
If you prefer to donate items, these are the list of items I am collecting for shipment:
Tin/can food
Non-perishable food
Rice
Pasta
Cereal
Pampers for babies
Adult diapers
Water
Men's clothing
Toiletries

Thank you for your support, and please do keep St.Vincent and the Grenadines in your prayers!
