A Mother's Strength

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
For those who may not know me, my name is Reyleann D. Lizama. I am the daughter of Romana Janet Dejillas Urena.
For those who know my mom, all know she's a hardworking, kind-hearted person. Her home was everyone's home and her vibrant personality kept our family together. She's a mother to 3 amazing children, (me) Reyleann, Ray & Yonnie and a grandmother to 2 beautiful girls, Mo'ne Enzlie & Maleiah Elliana.
Back in 2003, she was an employee at what was once known as, Hafa Adai Beach Hotel, now known as Grandvrio Resort Saipan as a Purchasing Clerical for 6 years. Due to the economic crisis the company had to down size. So it led her to be unemployed for a year. She continued to explore her options under the hospitality field and landed another job at Saipan World Resort. While an employee at SWR, she met her soul mate, ✝️ Vener Ollesca Urena. After spending a few months as a Waterpark Cashier, she got hired at CNMI PSS Head Start/Early Head Start Program as a Family Partnership Advocate. This is where she spent 10 amazing years of her life serving the community/program and being the provider for her family.
Back in 2016, she had gotten sick and was having unbearable headaches that caused her to be bed-ridden for days. She looked for answers with multiple doctors, went seeking for second opinions and kept being prescribed medications. After many tests she finally got answers and was diagnosed with Renal Failure (end stage renal disease). From there her journey began as a dialysis patient. She didn't let this stop her from living her life. She continued to go through treatment 3 times a week. Even after treatments, she still went to work as a Family Partnership Advocate despite her health issues.
Fast forward to 2020, she was diagnosed with oral cancer stage 2. There, she was referred to Guam for radiation. On the process of waiting on her radiation treatment, we were saddened by the early passing of my father , her husband. With the passing, she never underwent treatment for she had to return home!
Moving forward, she now resides in California and is being diagnosed with Carcinoma (type of skin cancer). She now awaits a major surgery and hopes for her cancer journey to come to an end. After recovery she will be undergoing radiation treatment to eliminate the cancer for good.
The family, myself and her dear friends know her for a giving person, not one who would ask for anything. Despite being through so much in life, she continues to be strong putting her family, kids and grandkids before herself. We humbly ask for your prayers and donations to help my mother fight this battle!
