Joel Fulgham's Road to Recovery Fund

Greetings to the Houston community of art lovers, musicians and to the friends, extended-family of Joel Fulgham,

Joel suffered a stroke that put him in the hospital on September 28th.  Shortly after his stroke while he was in recovery, he had an emergency situation involving kidney failure and dialysis for a short period of time. Fortunately he is a work horse dedicated to a full recovery and with time, rest, and proper nutrition his kidney's are back and functioning well!

However, he wasn't finished as bleeding from ulcers prompted an emergency procedure landing him back at Memorial Hermann to stabilize his condition. 
Now Joel is finally back home resting with the trauma and drama abated, focusing on his road to recovery.

We are raising funds to help him with his rehabilitation and give him a safe and supportive environment for his road to recovery.  Family and friends have already pitched in greatly to make new space in the home and provide wheelchair ramp access.  There is still much to be done and can be done to give Joel a beautiful space for healing and recovering.

Obviously, he has not been able to do his craft for a couple months and there are some immediate overhead expenses that will go to keep him plugged in to the world and in his home- internet, phone, electricity, gas, and his mortgage of course.

Speaking of gas, to help him prepare for the winter ahead in comfort, we are having his gas lines re-plumbed up to code for the central heating to work again; it is nice to sleep and work out when you aren't freezing cold!

Wheelchair accessories like a seat cushion, organizer etc.,
Updating his bathroom for easier use,
Exercise equipment for in bed and out of bed routines and personal training,
Replace broken stove, fix garbage disposal, fixed/updated light switches etc.
 
Now it is  rehab, rehab, rehab- although the donations will help greatly, your love and support and thoughts of healing mean the most and are received in good faith; non-monetary donations are graciously accepted as well.  Joel feels blessed for his family, friends, and tribe at large and sees his own full recovery happening with the help and love received.
