Stacy Kyles Strong

My friend, Stacy Kyles, has been battling cancer for over two years with surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, a great attitude, and working as the amazing Commissary Manager/Chef for the Oakland Zoo during her recovery periods. Through it all her sister Dannielle has been by her side.
On September 13, 2020 Stacy’s whole life changed when, after a third recurrence of sarcoma cells, her surgeon chose to amputate her left leg at the hip to save her life. Now, as an amputee, she faces months of rehab, pain management, and major changes in her way of living. Amputees need special furniture, bath fixtures and remodels, ways of getting around, and prosthetics including an electronic knee that will help her get closer to 100 percent when she returns to work. She and Danielle are in the process of figuring out what all she will need, but the equipment necessary could cost up to $10,000.
Stacy has been unable to work since June because of earlier surgeries, and will not be able to return to work until at least February, 2021. In addition, her insurance company is denying payment for $20,000 of already incurred expenses, because of the timing of the amputation surgery.
This is a woman who has participated in AIDS LIFECYCLE rides, raising over $10,000 in 2016 and 2017, and who has been an avid rower. She gives selflessly to others as a friend and mentor. She and Dannielle need our help right now. So, I am asking for contributions to this fund to help them get through the adjustment to this permanent detour in their lives.
Stacy has also created an Amazon Wish List for those who would prefer to contribute in that way OR in addition to Go Fund Me. Here is the URL for that list:
