Stacy's @ Melrose Needs Your Help
Donation protected
Greetings Everyone. I hope you are all doing well, keeping yourself and others safe and wearing your masks.
I am Stacy Louis, the proud owner of Stacy’s @ Melrose bar. As many of you know, we have been in operation in the Melrose district for 7 1/2 years now. After bartending in Phoenix for 14 years, I decided in 2013 it was time to open my own bar that welcomes everyone with no barriers…LGBTQ+, straight, every race, creed and color.
I would like to continue operating Stacy’s @ Melrose for many years to come. With the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been difficult to be closed for 6 months, followed by reopening at 25% capacity. Although we had some assistance with grants and loans, the bills continue relentlessly.
Some of our staff worked behind the scenes throughout the closure to ensure proper reopening when the time came. All of this work was happening while still not knowing that the closure would last as long as it did and with a possible second shut-down is looming.
I know it appears that bars are gold mines, but the truth is that appearances are very deceiving. And, now with the pandemic, things are DIRE. They are so bad that bills are not getting paid.
I am so thankful I have previously been in a position to help those in need, both organizations and individuals. But now I need to ask for your help. As many of you may already know, it is very difficult for me to ever ASK anyone for help.
I ask that you please do what you can to help us keep Stacy’s @ Melrose open so we can continue to provide a fun and safe space for you to enjoy.
All of your kind donations will help keep our staff employed while paying rent and taxes and utilities and all of the other expenses it takes to run a business.
Thank you all in advance for all of your donations!
Love to everyone…
