Stage 2 Tongue base cancer
Donation protected
About three months ago I was diagnosed with stage two tongue base cancer and I’m currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. the treatments are extremely painful and have affected my entire throat and overall health.
Because of this I had to take FMLA from my employment at the US Census Bureau with no pay. Because I work for a federal agency, there is no recourse to temporary state disability. Federal disability which is permanent is not only insufficient but will take longer than my actual treatment.
At the moment I have zero income and my expenses have increased substantially due to all the new medical bills. As of right now I am surviving off of credit cards but my limits will be expiring within the next 30 days and I have no idea what I’m going to do to keep from becoming homeless at that point.
Anything you can do to help is really appreciated.
