Stage 4 cancer but denied MRI until I can pay
Donation protected
Less than a month ago, I received news that I could never have prepared for. I was diagnosed with a Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer that has already penetrated the lining of the bowels and involves multiple lymph nodes. Although I know I am not the only one fighting this horrible disease, this couldn’t have come at a worse time in my life for my family and I. I am currently transitioning between jobs and recently lost my insurance coverage.
On August 14th 2019, I was scheduled to have an MRI and CT scan done in order to give the doctors a better understanding of my recent diagnosis. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was sent home and denied service until I was able to pay the fees in full for the necessary procedures. Due to the severe and painful symptoms, every day that goes by without treatment is another day that the cancer has a chance to spread.
The additional diagnostic test play a vital role for the team of physicians involved in my care. It will allow them to come up with an effective care plan and proceed with my treatment. While my immediate family and friends are trying their hardest to assist in any way possible, we are asking for monetary donations of any amount. Anything you can give will be genuinely appreciated and your support will not go unnoticed. I sincerely thank you in advance for your time and consideration in helping achieve my goal. Thank you for fighting with me on the road to remission and recovery! #CancerSucks #ColorectalCancerAwareness #FightingCRC #ColonCancer e #BowelCancer
