Stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer

My name is James and I am humbly requesting assistance to help me and my family of 5 get through the next few months of cancer treatments as I am the primary income provider for my family.

I was diagnosed in the fall with stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma after months of having a softball sized tumor on my neck. There were many tests and procedures after the diagnosis.

I had surgery on the 23rd of January where they cut my neck to remove the cancerous lymph nodes along with an additional 4 procedures on the inside of the throat.

I was working until the surgery and have done very little work since recovering from surgery. I am no longer able to work at this time as I have just started with chemo and radiation treatments this past Monday the 18th of March. I also have had 2 surgeries since last Tuesday with a feeding tube placed into my stomach and now a chemo port installed yesterday.

We have not been unable to pay any medical bills yet as all of my money has been going to household bills and now things are tighter than ever with very little income coming in. Unfortunately some of the monthly bills have gotten behind as well like my vehicles and utilities bills. I have enough to carry us into next month but it is getting scary after that.

We will be using these funds to pay medical bills, living expenses, rent, and bills. No donation is too big or small. My family and myself really appreciate the help. No one fights alone. My family and I appreciate all of the love and support.

3-25-24 Update

Good Morning and much love to EVERYONE for donating, sharing, and supporting my family and myself while I continue to navigate through these treatments. I am starting Day 1 of week 2 of treatments. This consists of a 7:45am daily Monday through Friday radiation treatments

and then a once per week Chemo session on Monday morning following radiation.

4-1 Update

Last week was our second chemo treatment and we finished 5 more of 33 radiation treatments for a total of 10 completed. Started to experience extreme discomfort in my mouth and lost most of my sense of taste to date from the radiation and experiencing extreme nausea and sickness on Wednesday and Thursdays.

This morning I completed my 11th radiation treatment and I am getting hooked up for my once weekly chemo treatment right now. Thanks to every who has donated, shared the GFM, and reached out with so many positive and supportive messages. Much love.
