Stage three support for Kidd Candelario

My name is Shara, I started my “Nano” role almost 30 years ago with the Candelario family, as Cody’s (Kidd’s kid) nanny. I have currently been spending time helping with Kidd’s recovery.

Over the course of the past two Go Fund Me efforts, we’ve successfully raised enough to cover his medical care and living expenses. (This was not true, at the time I had no idea that the family had not done the correct thing. Edit date 7/28/23). 

It has been a year, and while he continues to improve, the assisted living facilities that he has been staying in are crazy expensive, and frankly not in his best interest for his recovery. He is still not able to live on his own physically or financially, and he has run out of funds again.

So my husband and I decided to make room for him in our home, and we moved him from Bello Gardens to Fairfax in early July. Our immediate goal is to get Kidd back into the world. Enjoying family, friends, pets and good old fashion living. We offer strong encouragement for him to walk, lift weights, and generally being more responsible for his daily tasks. Our long term goal is to get him well enough to live independently, with government support.

Kidd is definitely enjoying the new scenery and four legged roommates, and is looking forward to visitors. All are welcome, and we’re sure you will notice the big improvements both physically and mentally.

We know it isn’t possible to continue to rely on Go Fund Me to cover his expenses, and we want to be responsible with your generous donations. So we are asking once more to please contribute, and excess funds will be used to build a nest egg for him to help when he moves to independent living.

Please help us help him. Donate any amount you can. For Kidd, every dollar is a reminder to “rock on, you are loved!”
