Stallings Family in a time of crisis

Hi, my name is Jessica. I’m raising funds for my sister Jeni and her family. She has six children.

 

Her husband, Jeremiah, was born with a heart condition and is susceptible to blood infections. Several weeks ago he went to the emergency room with a fever and they found out that he had a blood infection that went to his heart valve (endocarditis). He needs to have heart surgery, but unfortunately the infected valve caused several strokes, making the surgery too risky. It was during this time that baby Noah was born.

 

Jeremiah was making a miraculous recovery; he was able to go home and continue to heal in preparation for heart surgery. About a week later, a bleed from the stroke made things even worse.

 

After an emergency surgery he’s currently back in the ICU. Jeni, the baby, and his mom visit him every day. I believe this is very important for his recovery. Jeremiah loves his family more than anything in the world. I think Jeni and his mom talking to him is keeping him here. He opened his eyes when Jeni asked him to.

 

She needs to be there for her and for him. I don’t know when either of them will be ready to return to work. When he does come home, it’s going to be a long recovery.
