Stamford for Ukraine

Our mission is to supply desperately needed vehicles, medical supplies and other essential goods and equipment to Ukraine, directly to those who need them most.

Our fund has already donated one 4x4 SUV, affectionately known by those who operate it as The Stamford Nissan, to Project Konstantin, a humanitarian medivac coalition operating on the frontline in eastern Ukraine. It has been lightly armoured and adapted for use as a field ambulance. The Stamford Nissan is primarily used for evacuating wounded soldiers away from the ‘hot zone’ and transporting them to second line stabilisation points. We have also made substantial contributions to the maintenance and running costs necessary to keep this essential vehicle mobile and in a good state of repair.

The Stamford for Ukraine fund has also raised and donated funds for the purchase and supply of a starlink, medical supplies, and other much needed equipment for the frontline troops. We have made physical donations that include tools, generators, chainsaws, cookers, medical equipment and medication, clothing, fuel, and items like water carriers and ballistic plates. We work closely with our Ukrainan friends and their supporters in Stamford who sew evacuation stretchers for frontline use and provide other much needed support.

We were inspired to start this fundraising campaign by the story of the people of Stamford and the surrounding areas coming together in 1940 to raise £5,000 to fund the Stamford Spitfire. In today’s terms, that £5,000 would be worth over £350,000 and we believe the spirit of that generous and courageous wartime generation lives on in the residents of Stamford today.

All vehicles, equipment, and supplies we purchase through the generosity of our supporters are donated where they are most desperately needed and will have the greatest effect. The founder of our fund, Jack Bon Holly, continues to live and work in Ukraine, frequently operating in the most hostile regions close to the frontline. He is involved in a number of projects and has taken an active role in frontline medivac operations, civilian extraction from danger zones, humanitarian relief missions, and much, much more. He derives his greatest satisfaction from working with displaced children and seeing smiles on their faces.

Please support our aims. We spend nothing on administration and every donation, every single penny raised is directly used for the benefit of Ukraine and in support of the Ukrainian people.
