Stan Williams and his family. Forced to move.

Hello everyone. Stan Williams here. For many of you, a voice from the distant past. A few of you are currently working with me, many of you haven’t seen me for many years. I wish to apologize for this intrusion. If you receive a duplicate of this email, I ask forgiveness as well. 


I come to you with a request that is not made lightly. But, there are some situations that require a person to swallow pride and ask for help. This is such a request.


Explanation:


As of yesterday my family received notice that we must vacate our home of 13 years within 60 days. It is within the landlord’s rights as they are selling rather than evicting. Same net result for us. The cost to move nowadays is huge. I am embarrassed to admit that the cost is beyond our financial means. And although it had not crossed my mind, I had a few friends suggest I open a GoFundMe account which I have done. An extremely small donation by many folks can change the outcome of our need to find a new home rather quickly. 


Covid has all but destroyed my teaching business. Plus, with the advent of YouTube and other apps it has become easy for potential students to find inexpensive ways to learn how to play guitar. While I once had a thriving student load of 80+ per week with a waiting list, I now have a total of 6 students. 


I could blab on. As you probably remember, that’s one of my special gifts! But I’ve said all that is pertinent and I will leave it at that. If you can contribute, that is wonderful. If you can not, I still love you all just the same. Then perhaps instead of a donation you might offer a prayer or two for us. There is my wife, my daughter, who has a number of significant health issues, and myself in need of help. If anyone would wish to consider placing this request on their social media, the blessing would be immense. There is one more thing you might do that could help: If you know of anyone who would like to learn guitar from an experienced teacher and could recommend them to me, that would be wonderful. I am currently teaching online via Zoom/Skype. This has become a better choice for those who would like to save travel time,avoid the traffic battle or drag equipment around. Just a thought to consider.

Finances are tight, yet I have great wealth because I have friends and family that are full of love and respect for each other and I would not trade that for any amount of money.
