On May 17th, 2017, our lives changed forever. Brian, 42, was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer named Glioblastoma stage 4 (GBM). This is the most aggressive form of brain cancer with an average life expectancy of 14.2 months. Due to this, Brian has not been able to work. He had brain surgery and then went through 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatment to try and help prolong his life. Last week, he suffered an intense focal point seizure and ended up returning to the hospital in an ambulance. When he was in the hospital from the seizure, they preformed another MRI, which showed both of his tumors had grown significantly and he also had new lesions. Brian also has blood clots in his lungs from his cancer which resulted in more medication day by day. His ability to process information and make decisions has been impaired incredibly. He is constantly sleeping and most days he does not have enough energy to go about everyday activities. Unfortunately, Brian has to always have someone with him to help with those everyday activities. This has been a tough time for our family and anything helps. Since we recently received the news that the tumor growth has shortened his life expectancy, all proceeds will help with our families living expenses and in-home medical necessities. Thank you for the support and prayers, and thank you for standing by Brian Havens and his family in this time of need.
