Stand by Eric, Shannon, and Riley Now

My very good friend, Eric Vachon is going through a difficult time. He is dealing with a failing liver and needs love and support at this crucial time, in not just his life, but the lives of his wife, Shannon and their daughter, Riley. Below is a few words about Eric's recent experiences.

On March 24th Eric started having severe medical complications which required a trip to the ER at Laconia Concord hospital. Due to all the complications and lack of services there, they needed to transfer him to Mass General, where he was admitted for several weeks. It is there we received the devastating news that he had acute Hepatitis and liver failure.

He has since been released, he has VNA services coming into the home several times of week to help with nursing services, OT and PT. He is currently not able to work.

Eric has a life-threatening condition which is going to require on-going medical care, including weekly visits to his doctors, (PCP, GI, Hepatology) weekly blood work, monthly endoscopy, weekly Paracentesis. He will experience Hepatic Encephalopathy and medical complications with a possible decline in kidney function. Until he can get onto a liver transplant list and even then there is no guarantee.

I am reaching to our community, friends and family to support the Vachon family to help relieve some of the financial burden at this critical time.
