John's Plea: Help Him Heal, Protect His Family's Future

Dear Community,
I hope this message finds you well.
I'm John, and at 63, I'm facing a mountain of medical debt after a challenging year. More importantly, I'm worried about providing for my wife, our young son, and the two nieces who depend on us. Life has thrown me some serious curveballs, but I'm determined to keep fighting.

You see, I've been battling health issues since I was a teenager. At 19, a severe injury put me in a coma. I survived, but it led to decades of airway problems and over 20 throat surgeries. Later, I faced PTSD, debilitating convulsions, and a traumatic brain injury. It took doctors years to find the right medications to stabilize me.

Just when things seemed to be settling, 2023 and 2024 brought new challenges. After a trip to buy a much-needed SUV (our old car's transmission gave out), I slipped and severely injured my shoulder, requiring a reverse shoulder replacement. Then, my knee started giving out, leading to two knee surgeries in 2024.

These surgeries have left me with significant debt – over $27,000 on credit cards with crippling interest rates of over 30%. I haven't been able to work since 2008 due to my health, and despite reapplying, I haven't qualified for Social Security Disability. The rising cost of living makes it nearly impossible to support my family and keep up with these mounting medical bills. We depend on my wife's income and the help of my nieces to make ends meet.

I've always been a fighter, and I'm incredibly grateful to be alive. I've learned to walk again multiple times, and I've already managed to pay off the initial costs of some of my earlier surgeries. But this debt is overwhelming.

That's why I'm reaching out to you, our community, for help. I'm asking for assistance to pay off these high-interest credit card debts so I can focus on my health and providing a stable home for my family.

I need help with the following:
- $11,000 to pay off one high-interest credit card used for surgery expenses.
- $11,000 to pay off another high-interest credit card used for surgery expenses.
- $5,000 to pay off a smaller credit card also burdened by surgery costs.
- These credit card payments are currently costing us $1000 per month, a huge strain on our limited income.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives. Your generosity will help us get back on our feet and secure a more stable future for my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your consideration.
God bless you,
John
