Support Mr. Lee During His Recovery
Our beloved Mr. Lee, the heart and soul behind Village Express Donut in Tahoe Park, is facing a new and urgent challenge. After a recent assault at his shop, Mr. Lee developed complications that required emergency brain surgery. He is currently recovering at UC Davis Medical Center, under close observation by his medical team.
Mr. Lee has always been there for our community, serving smiles and donuts with warmth and dedication, even in the toughest times. His shop is not just his livelihood—it’s a cornerstone of Tahoe Park. Now, he needs our help.
Many of you will remember that three years ago, on Thanksgiving, Mr. Lee’s shop was broken into. The community came together and rallied behind him, raising funds to help repair his shop and replace what was stolen. That outpouring of generosity meant the world to him—it wasn’t just financial support but a reminder of the incredible community spirit that makes Tahoe Park so special.
Now, Mr. Lee needs us again, more than ever.
With Mr. Lee unable to work during his recovery, his friends are stepping in to keep the shop running, but the challenges are immense. The medical bills, combined with the cost of maintaining his business and personal expenses, have created a financial strain that he cannot overcome alone.
Your donations will go directly to helping Mr. Lee cover:
- Medical expenses related to his surgery and recovery
- Rent and bills for both his home and shop
- Day-to-day operational costs to keep Village Express Donut alive while he heals
The love and support we showed Mr. Lee three years ago helped him rebuild after a devastating break-in. Let’s come together again to help him through this even more difficult time.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and networks helps just as much.
Together, let’s show Mr. Lee that the community he’s always cared for is here to care for him. Thank you for your kindness and support.
