Stand by Nilla in Her Time of Need

Donation protected
As many of you know, Ms. Nilla Bean is in serious medical condition.
Our little warrior came to this world with a major disadvantage 2 years ago. She was one of four sisters born premature. Blind and unable to regulate her body temperature, we decided to give her the best chance at life she could have. By the time she was 3 days old, she had defied death twice and started to grow into a fabulous little indoor princess.
She has been healthy and pampered ever since. In February, her life began to change. She was pregnant, and after watching closely and verifying with her vet, she was deemed healthy and clear to have her babies. However, she began to get very heavily pregnant, and on Feb 18th, she delivered two baby boys, but it wasn't easy for her. She was so heavily pregnant she had to be sutured due to prolapse until delivery, and then both babies had to be assisted. The birth was traumatic, but she made it through like a champ.
The following days were hard, and she needed a lot of TLC to bounce back, but she was.

On March 2nd, we started to notice Ms. Bean becoming very unstable on her feet. She was standing and walking, but it was as if she was drunk. We began treatment protocol for all the fitting illnesses we had experienced before that matched, but as days passed, she began to get worse. Antibiotics weren't working, thiamine wasn't working, calcium wasn't helping. Pain management was the only thing that seemed to help her rest. On March 4th, we awoke to Nilla completely on her side with legs in the air. She could no longer stand or hold herself up. That is when we made the immediate decision to take her to the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Columbia, Missouri.

As it stands right now, the doctors are puzzled. They've tested for or ruled out Polio, Ketosis, Listeriosis, Tetanus, avian flu, and West Nile. She is not responding to the normal treatments, and she isn't fitting a definite disease or illness. Her blood work showed low phosphorus, but everything else was fine. Her temperature is normal. She has an appetite. Her color is good, but she is not responding. At this time, if she can pull through tonight, neurology is getting called in first thing in the morning. They are looking at the idea of an MRI.

This is where we ask for help. We love Nilla Bean and have already promised to do everything in our power to save her. God willing, we need her to pull through this. The cost for an MRI alone will bring us to $2500 in vet fees. She's had a spinal tap, ultrasound, and blood work, but if neurology gets involved, testing will get more expensive.

Please help us help her, give her a shot to live when she would have otherwise not. She deserves this. We thank each and every one of you for every share, prayer, and donation. Nilla is surrounded by the most amazing fans and family in the world, and she's the luckiest princess of the Caprine family.
