Helping Mike Page during recovery from a stroke
Donation protected
Many of you have asked how you can support our family during this incredibly difficult time. The past few days have been physically and emotionally overwhelming, but we are staying positive and praying for a full recovery. There have already been a few obstacles, but we have faith and know how strong our dad is.
The week started with our dad, Mike Page, going to a regular yearly check up where he found out he was in AFIB. We took him to the hospital and the next day doctors had to shock his heart back into a normal rhythm. He was discharged shortly after and feeling much better by the next day. Little did we know that the next morning he would have a massive stroke. He managed to wake our mom up and alert her that something was wrong, she called 911 and he was taken quickly to the hospital. He was rushed into surgery where they successfully removed two clots from his brain. With a stroke comes many obstacles and now our dad is unable to talk to us and has many issues with mobility on his right side.
As many of you know, he is the sole provider for him and our mom. He owns his own landscaping business and works hard every day. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that he will be able to return to his business after this. With time and planning, we will find a way forward, but in the meantime, we need some help as medical bills and living expenses continue to grow.
Our goal is to relieve some of the financial stress so our mom can focus entirely on our dad’s recovery. We are not the type to ask for help—we must have learned that from our dad—but after much thought and encouragement from those around us, we decided to put this out there.
Our dad has always been the one to show up for others, and now it’s our turn to show up for him. He has always gone above and beyond for his family and everyone he knows.
We are truly grateful for your prayers, thoughts, and any support you can offer.
We promise to pay it forward when we can ❤️
