Stand by the Simkins Family

I come bearing sad news and seeking assistance for David Simkins and his family. Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and it has spread to his liver and his lungs. This diagnosis came as a total shock to the family as he has no predispositions or risk factors at all. He has 6 months to 2 years to live. Although this is not curable, it is treatable with chemotherapy. Chemo is very expensive and these funds will help pay for the costs. Thus far the bills are already up to $15k for his two most recent ER visits and his port procedure and this doesn't even include the chemo bills yet. On top of that Dave has not been able to work in the past 2 months because of the pain and exhaustion that he has been experiencing. It has been a pretty shocking and rough journey for the family so far and these funds would help to alleviate some financial stress on them.

Dave Simkins is a loving husband and father and his family is giving all during this time to support him, including dropping out of nursing school to help take care of him. He has been married to his wife Janet for 30 years and has two children, Jessica and James. We also can't leave out their beloved dog Speedy. Dave is also a hard working self-employed professional and as stated earlier, has been unable to work due to this illness. Finally, Dave is also a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge in Delaware and a brother to all in this fraternity. He has always been willing to offer aid and assistance to a brother in need and now, he being in distress, is worthy of the same.

To anyone with the means to donate I promise Dave is a person worthy of it. Those that know him will already know this to be true. These funds will allow him to get the treatment he deserves so he can enjoy as much time as possible with his family.
