Stand Together: Rebuildng Hope After Tragedy for Diaa Family

Hi, my name is Diaa , 23 years old and I’m from Gaza.

I used to think that the loss of my house, our property is the most difficult loss I can face in this war, houses are not a pile of stones but details of life, safety and a beautiful bunch of memories.

But the real disaster was bigger than I imagined or expected. The house was not all I lost, but my whole family. Only my mother ,2 sisters and 2 brothers survived with injury and everyone was gone - killed by the Isr@eli bombing of our house on 20/2/2024

More than 30 people and lives - they are not numbers, my father was my backbone! And my 3 sisters, her children, my uncles and their sons.

Life slapped me with this disaster and left me alone facing an unknown future of how can I complete the study of mechanical engineering and I have little left? How can I fulfill my dream and my father's dream? How will I take care of my mother and the rest of my family and continue the education of my brother's and sisters and rebuild our house?

Everything was too big to bear alone! How can I face it without the support or help of the world !! I have no choice but to ask for help.

I am Diaa Yousef Alnweri, an engineering student and I am still alive from G@z@, p@lestine , and this campaign for the rest of my family:

Here's my story

On 20,feb, 2024, precisely at four- thirty in the afternoon, I was out looking for household aid to cover our needs, in light of the scarcity of food supplies at that time.

Suddenly my phone rang and a friend told me that our house had been targeted and completely destroyed. From the horror of the shock, I don't remember well what happened to me and how I arrived home to find the place destroyed and hundreds of people gather around the house to save what can be saved. I started searching the place, not knowing what to do. Should I look for my beloved father, or for my sister, the distinguished dentist, Israa, and her two- month- old baby, who is the first grandchild of our family, or for my beloved sister, Samah, who was studying law and was about to achieve her dream, or for My sister, a human medicine student, Yasmine, or about my two little sisters, Malak and Aya. Praise be to God, despite the painful injury, my sisters Yasmine and Aya survived certain death, and the rest were charred body parts scattered all over the place and on the neighbors’ roofs.

After a short time, my mother and my little brother returned to the home after their doctor's appointment.

I don’t know how I withstood my determined mom, who almost lost consciousness from the horror of what she saw. We tried to make her feel that everyone was fine, and I left the place with her after I was sure that no one had survived except my sister, a human medicine student at the Islamic University, and my little sister, after the injuries they had been exposed to. I ask God may they be granted a full recovery.

Our loss is immeasurable, but amidst the rubble, a glimmer of hope emerges. Despite the heartache, I hesitated before launching this campaign. Yet, daily reminders of our harsh reality urged me forward.

With the unwavering support of friends, I created this platform, not for personal gain, but to :

1. Provide urgent treatment for my brother Mohammed 19 years old, as he needs several operations In his eyes, hands, and my sister after they sustained moderate injuries after the destruction of the house.

2. Providing safe housing for my family, as we are without Shelter now as life inside the tent fraught with difficulty , pain and it causes various diseases

3. Providing the needs of my family and my younger siblings after that We lost all sources of income due to the war.

4. Completing my education and the university education of my brothers Faculty of medicine

I also continue the education of my siblings children in their schools.

كنت أظن أن خسارة بيتي وممتلكاتنا ومشروعي هي الخسارة الأصعب التي يمكن أن أواجهها في هذه الحرب،

لكن الكارثة الحقيقية كانت أكبر من أتخيلها أو أتوقعها لم يكن البيت هو كل مافقدته بل كانت عائلتي كلها دون أمي وبعض اخوتي الذين نجوا بإصابات ورحل الجميع بقصف اسر/ئيلي لمنزلنا في تاريخ 20/2/2024

اكثر من 30 فرداً ليسو أرقاماً فيهم أبي سندي ومعيني ! واخواتي الثلاثة وابن اختي واعمامي وأبناء عمومتي .

لقد صفعتني الحياة بهذه الكارثة وتركتني وحيداً أواجه مستقبلاً مجهولاً كيف لي أن أكمل دراسة الهندسة وقد بقي أمامي القليل! وأحقق حلمي وحلم أبي! أم كيف سأرعى أمي ومن تبقى من عائلتي وأعيد بناء بيتنا!

كل شيء كان أكبر من أن أتحمله وحدي! وأن أواجهه دون دعم أو طلب المساعدة من العالم

ضاقت بي السبل كلها ولم يبقى امامي سوى طلب المساعدة.

في 20/2/2024 تحديدا الساعة الرابعة والنصف عصرا كنت خارجا للبحث عن معونة للبيت لنسد بها رمقنا في ظل واقع شحيح للمواد التموينية في ذلك الوقت

فجأة رن هاتفي وإذ بأحد الاصدقاء يخبرني أنه تم استهداف منزلنا وتدميره بشكل كامل

من هول الصدمة لا اذكر جيدا ما حدث لي وكيف وصلت إلى البيت لأجد الدمار قد عم المكان والمئات من

الشباب يتجمهرون حول البيت لانقاذ ما يمكن إنقاذه

صرت ابحث بالمكان لا ادري ماذا افعل هل ابحث عن أبي الحبيب أو عن اختي طبيبة الأسنان المتميزة اسراء ورضيعها ذو الشهرين وهو الحفيد الاول لعائلتنا أو عن اختي حبيبة قلبي سماح التي كانت تدرس المحاماة وعلى وشك تحقيق حلمها أو عن اختي طالبة الطب البشري ياسمين أو عن اخواتي الطفلتين ملاك وآية والحمد لله برغم المصاب الأليم نجت اخواتي ياسمين وآية من موت محقق وكان البقية أشلاء متفحمة تناثرت في كل المكان وعلى أسطح الجيران

وبعد وقت قليل فإذا بأمي وأخي الصغير يرجعون إلى البيت بعد موعدهم مع الطبيب

لا اعرف كيف صمدت أمام امي الصابرة المحتسبة التي كادت تفقد وعيها من هول ما رأت وحاولنا أن نشعرها أن الجميع بخير وغادرت بها من المكان بعدما تأكدت أنه لم ينج أحد سوى أختي طالبة الطب البشري في الجامعة الإسلامية واختي الصغيرة بعد الاصابات التي تعرضن لها ، اسال الله ان يمن عليهن بالشفاء التام

مصابنا جلل بعد فقدان أعز ما نملك و كل ما نملك

ترددت كثيرا قبل أن أبدأ هذه الحملة ولكني يوميا أُصدم بالواقع الذي نعيشه وبدعم ثلة من الاصدقاء قمت بعمل هذا الرابط لاحاول النهوض مرة أخرى ليس من اجلي وانما من أجل من تبقى من عائلتي لاستطيع أن اوفر لهم حياة كريمة وأكمل لهم تعليمهم الجامعي واوفر علاج لاخي محمد حيث أنه بحاجة لعمليتين عاجلة في عينيه ويده وتوفير مسكن مناسب لأن الحياة داخل خيمة صعبة ومؤلمة جدا ....

كنت أسعى بشغف ان انهي دراستي الجامعية في تخصص الهندسة وأبني مستقبلي لكن في لحظة حرموني من كل ما أملك واعز ما أملك والدي واخواتي وابن اختي وثلة من اقاربي

فانا الان لم يعد لي شيئا في هذه الحياة سوى امي واختي وأخي الطالبان في كلية الطب البشري في الجامعة الإسلامية واخوتي الصغار

سانهض بدعمكم وأواجه الواقع الأليم بصمود وتحد ومن خلال دعمكم لي ولاسرتي سأكمل مشواري ومشوار اخوتي طلبة الطب وسنكون فخرا لأبي كما أراد أن نكون ولغزة ولفلسطين ولكل حر في هذا العالم
