Stand Up and Fight Cancer with Korbin

Donation protected
What do you do when the person who has always been your rock, the one everyone turns to for strength, finds themselves in a battle they can’t fight alone?

What Happened:

My best friend Korbin Kramer was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE). This type of cancer has manifested in the pleural lining of his lungs, making each breath a struggle.

Just 40 days ago, Korbin was treated for pneumonia at his local ER and sent home with antibiotics. When he didn’t improve after five days, he was admitted to the hospital for further evaluation. What began as a routine procedure turned into a heartbreaking ordeal when doctors discovered suspicious tissue and abnormal fluid.

After multiple ER visits and extended stays at Medical City Fort Worth, Korbin is now in the ICU at MD Anderson in Houston. He requires high-flow oxygen 24/7 and is undergoing chemotherapy, along with various other medications. Even the smallest exertion leaves him breathless and fatigued.

While Korbin was at Medical City, Randi and I were able to swap off staying with him at the hospital so she could also spend time with their baby boy. Since the admission at MD Anderson on September 22nd, Randi hasn’t been able to leave his side, and the situation has completely uprooted the family from their home and jobs in Dallas.

Who He Is:

Anyone who knows Korbin understands how out of character this is for him. Just a few months ago we were meeting at the gym at 5am three times per week. A few months before that he ran in the Dallas Marathon. Just a few weeks before the marathon he was supporting his wife as she gave birth to their son, Tommy Paul. This sudden decline in health has been shocking, not just for us, but for everyone who knows his vibrant and active spirit.

Korbin and his wife Randi are regulars at The Village Church in Flower Mound. Through all of this, they hold onto their faith and trust that God is good and has a plan. Korbin and Randi are fighting every day with incredible strength and determination and are so grateful for the love and support they have received so far.

How You Can Help:

The money we’re raising here will go towards Korbin’s exponentially rising medical expenses, daycare for their 9-month-old Tommy Paul, and to help them cover the costs of being away from home.

Financial support isn’t all that’s needed for healing. We ask that you support this family by keeping them in your prayers. We believe in the power of prayer and wholeheartedly trust that God is in control and in Him lies their hope. Thank you for considering supporting the Kramers on this difficult journey. Your kindness means the world to us.
