Stand with Addie: Keep the Pokemon Dream Alive

Hello! If you don’t know me already, I’m Addie. Didn’t think I’d end up doing this, and been hesitant since I’m not a fan of asking for help, but due to some financial hardships after dealing with the costs of lawyers against someone who abused me in the past, and unexpectedly losing my job, I am unsure if I am unable to afford the rest of the competitive season as a whole. Anything would help at all, and don’t expect anyone to donate, just thought it might be worth asking. If you are interested, I am also selling play mats and such to raise some funds.

Why not just compete next year? Playing Pokemon and competing this past 6 months and being a part of the community has been a huge positive in my life after dealing with some heavy personal hardships, and I’d love to finish out the season. With the amount of time, effort, and money that has been already poured into this season, to not try and continue while there’s still a chance would feel a bit heartbreaking.

I am getting close to my invite and would need to compete in LA and NAIC to lock it in for this season, on top of affording the flight to Hawaii.

Overall, if I don’t finish out the season or if I do, just a big shout out to those who have encouraged me, helped me out in the ways they could, and whether we are friends in person or only interacted briefly online or in person at tournaments, thank you to all of you for being a great community and one I plan on remaining a part of and competing in moving forward.
