Stand with Anna: Emergency Surgery Fund

My name is Tamara and I am raising money for Anna Carpenter. She did not ask for this, but was encouraged by a few of her friends (including me) to set up this Go Fund Me. It is so hard and uncomfortable to ask for help, especially for someone as strong and independent as Anna.

Anna just saw the Neurosurgeon and got some really unexpected news. She has to have two emergency surgeries on her spine in two different areas. The first spinal fusion surgery is scheduled for April 28th and the second (if all goes well with the first and healing) will be on or around May 12th. To add stress, all of this is happening just before she is scheduled to graduate from college.

Anna was experiencing some lower pain from her severe stenosis and in the process of getting an MRI she found about her spinal cord. Anna has to give up her beloved dog Freya, but will be able to keep her cat. She will need help with buying medical supplies, traveling to and from appointments, caring for her cat, and post op medical care due to her recovery. She was anticipating going right to work after graduation, but now that is on hold.
