Stand with April: Support Her New Beginning

My name is Amelia and I’ve always looked at my younger cousin April as a sister. If you know me then you know I will do anything at all for my family, especially when they are facing hard times. As of lately, April has definitely fallen on hard times.

A few days before her 31st birthday, April’s husband informed her that he was divorcing her and leaving her…for her twin sister. Anyone knows that being told your spouse wants to divorce you is hard but being told they are leaving you for your twin is a different kind of betrayal. April’s twin had been living in their house for some time to save money for herself and ended up stealing April’s husband. Imagine allowing your sister to live with you so she can save money and not have to pay any bills only for her to develop feelings for your husband and act on those feelings. Turns out he had had feelings for the twin for a long time but still failed to divorce April first before acting on them, therefore committing a twisted form of adultery. The twin and the husband have been making April’s life absolute hell since announcing their relationship. They stalk her, harass her, and even got April arrested for “battery” when she tried to prevent the husband from taking her daughter away from her without permission. The husband has also completely cut April off from credit cards and money they shared as husband and wife so she can no longer buy simple needs for herself and her 3 daughters.

Please consider helping April during this difficult time in her and her children’s lives. The husband has not considered that the kids still need to eat, need diapers, food, clothes, gas in her car to take them to school, etc. April has been left with no money and no way to support them and she also now needs funds for an attorney to fight the husband on the “battery” charge and the divorce itself. The twin has taken over April’s home she shared with her husband, so April also needs a new place to live. She is starting her life and her kids’ lives completely over.

I know this is all a lot to take in. April’s twin and husband have caused a lot of embarrassment and stress on our family as a whole. But I am hoping to just help April in the best way I can since I can’t really do much of anything else.
