Stand with Ashley Caravaggio in Her Fight

On June 5th, days after our 32nd birthday, she received the biopsy results. A moment in our lives that we never truly expected to happen. On June 5th 2024, my best friend was diagnosed with aggressive triple negative breast cancer.

Ashley Caravaggio is young, bright, loving, one of a kind person. And she happens to be my best friend. She is truly my soul sister, only just 4 days apart and having the opportunity of knowing each other since birth since our moms were best friends. There is truly something so special about this type of friendship. We had awkward years, our wild years, marriage, loss of a parent, and many more. Ashley is a wonderful mom to two amazing kids: Scarlett and Leland, truly the sweetest kids you would ever have the pleasure to meet. She is also loved deeply by her husband, Michael, and will be celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary this August.

At 20 years old, Ashley lost her mom who battled Ovarian cancer. She went through genetic testing and found out she was BRCA1 positive. After they were done having kids, she preventatively had her ovaries removed but the cancer still made its appearance. Unfortunately, this type of cancer doesn’t discriminate age and is very aggressive. She will be starting chemo in just a few weeks and currently scheduled for 6 months. After chemo, she will need to have a double mastectomy, and possible radiation. Between MRIs, Mammograms, Petscans, Ultrasounds, Chemo, Surgery, and Doctor appointments- the medical bills add up.
