Stand with Ben's Family in Healing
Donation protected
This beautiful family is Christine, Caspian, and Ben. Ben was struck on two wheels in Daytona Beach, FL while on his way to work. According to the police, the driver dragged Ben under their truck for 60 feet before driving off and leaving him for dead. Luckily, witnesses stopped and called 911, but there were not enough witnesses to chase down the driver. Ben was wearing a full-face helmet, saving his head and life. The rest of him did not fare so well.
It took 13 days and 5 surgeries to save his leg and prevent amputation. 2 additional surgeries were required to save his right hand. The road back to wellness is going to be long. It will be several months before Ben can walk and work again.
Ben was the breadwinner for this sweet family. Christine works part-time but most of her time is spent homeschooling and caring for Caspian.
This brutal accident has left Ben, Christine, and Caspian without resources to care for the needs of everyday life and no doubt considerable medical expenses will be coming.
The police investigation is open, but there is currently no good information. The only surveillance camera shows a blurry image of the truck. If possible, the family would also like to hire a private investigator.
Your gracious, thoughtful, and generous donation will give Ben, Christine, and Caspian urgently needed resources to take care of day-to-day life and focus on healing and the future. Please reach into your pockets and give what you can. No amount is too small, and no amount is too large.
