Stand with Charles: Health & Financial Struggles

My name is Charles Pelto, and it seems like no matter what I do, things seem to be getting worse day by day. It started with being diagnosed with throat cancer in 2012. I managed to survive that but have never really fully recovered after going through 7 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. And just recently, I had a stroke, which put me in the hospital, where I have been in and out a couple of times while the doctors worked on getting my blood pressure under control.

I am now on the road to recovery, but my finances are in total chaos, and I really have no alternative but to ask for some real help. I am roughly 40 thousand dollars in debt, not able to work, have managed to max out my 401K, and am now living on monthly social security payments and a small pension.
