Dear Family and Friends,

In May 2024, my brother Dave and I reached out to family members and friends throughout the planet to support me as I was going through the most difficult period of my life. Truthfully, I don’t know if I would have made it through the last 6 months without the love and support of over 100 individuals and families who contributed $13,500 to me and hundreds more people who called me, sent me love through Facebook and other social media, and showed up at my place with a nice meal or a helping hand in pulling my life back together.

I take life one day at a time in my process of grieving George’s and Sara’s passing and I am working hard every single day to improve my physical and mental health. I am still not able to work and my social security, medicare/medicaid, regular garage sales and virtual sales just do not cover my monthly expenses. With my brother’s support we have reached out to County Social Services, attorneys and financial advisors to consolidate my debt, and to local non profit organizations. This is a very slow process and we have learned that Wisconsin just does not provide the kind of support for people in my situation like California where Dave has been working in the social services for decades.

By sharing this, which is not easy for me, I am restarting my GoFundMe and raising my goal to $25,000. I am hoping to raise an additional $11,500 to what has already been generously donated. With my property taxes being due in January, increased costs to my medical insurance, additional medical procedures scheduled in 2025, and the challenges of navigating Wisconsin winters a gift of any size would be deeply appreciated.

Also, I am thrilled that my mom has moved to San Rafael, California and is living close to my brother and sisters, my nieces and nephews and my grand nieces and grand nephews. As my physical and mental health, along with my financial health improves I hope to make a visit in 2025 to see Bubbie Janet in person.
