Imagine cooking dinner in the comfort of your home, only to find yourself running for your life moments later. This is the heartbreaking reality for our neighbor, David Griggs.

David, a 71-year-old Marine veteran, barely escaped a fire that completely destroyed his home. Thankfully, he and his beloved dog made it out safely—but everything else he owned is gone. To make matters worse, he did not have insurance, leaving him with no way to recover from this tragic loss.

As a Marine, David dedicated years of his life to serving our country. Now, in his time of need, we have the opportunity to serve him. Let’s come together as a community and help him rebuild. Hello friends, family, and kind supporters, I want to take a minute to thank each and everyone of you for your generosity, prayers, and encouragement during this incredibly difficult time. Your support means the world.

As David continues to recover from this devastating fire, he is now up against some more challenges. Due to his injuries sustained in fire, he was hospitalized and has undergone surgery. We are not sure what these next weeks are going to consist of on the medical side. The procedures are necessary for his healing and will require a long recovery period.
