Stand with East Windsor in Fire Recovery
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
****Update 6/26/24************
We are so incredibly grateful to everyone for all you have done!
Today is the last day! Tonight, donations will be closed and the transfer of funds will be made. Let us show our neighbors, our East Windsor family, how we care for one another. Especially during a horrific tragedy, as this Unit K on American Way Twin Rivers fire.
All the locals, local businesses and everyone coming together… it is beautiful to see such love for one and other, even strangers.
After today, these funds will be directly going to help fund housing for those who lost everything in the fire.
Let’s knock their socks off with the amount we can provide! One last HOORAH before the GoFundMe is closed!
Thank you @everyone & huge thank you to NJ Rise !!
****6/12/24 IMPORTANT*****
If you are a displaced individual or family, you MUST register with NJ Rise (Contact info below) to receive any funding, donations of goods, or anything from the thrift/ food pantry.
We are operating through Rise as a vetting agency to ensure sure these funds are being allocated to the individuals and families that need them. This likely won't be an overnight process and we ask and appreciate your patience. The absolute first step is to register through NJ Rise.
I will try to keep this page current with updates as they become available.

Update as of 3:30PM 6/11/24
***This is a two part message, one regarding the fundraiser and the second regarding the organization the funds will be distributed to***
Wow, just wow. I know that I speak for Jayme Fahrer and the rest of the community when I say that we are fortunate, blessed and grateful to live in an area where neighbors come together to take care of one another.
Jayme and I started the fundraiser around 7:45PM last night and now at 3PM, not even 24 hours later, the East Windsor community has not only met that goal, but surpassed it. As I am writing this at 3PM, we have raised $11,329, eclipsing the goal of $10,000.
We are in awe at the kindness shown by our incredible community and while our gratitude is immense, we still want to encourage our fellow residents to please consider still giving if you're capable. if someone was interested in giving, we don't want to deter anyone just because the initial $10,000 has been met. There will be more work to do and every dollar raised can and will help those that were displaced.
Rise will be taking most of the reins now. For any donations with food, clothing or anything else - Please direct you donations to NJ Rise thrift and NJ Rise Pantry. Any affected families, please contact Rise and register with them so you can get all that you need. Rise will be helping us disperse the GoFundMe funds once we get all the families information and their needs. If you are an impacted individual/family, I would encourage you to reach out to NJ Rise to see how they can best assist you.
If you are one of the displaced individuals or families, on behalf of the East Windsor community, we cannot give you back that which was lost, but we will do our best to help you to get through this painful chapter. You are not alone.
Update as of 9:30 6/11.
EWPD to post a release/report soon on the incident.
The police are all hands on deck and they are doing so much! However, they are unable to tend to dispersing funds/donations.
We are in contact with NJRise, Princeton Red Cross, and trying to connect to the Volunteer Fire Co 2.
My hope to to get a single coordinator going, so we can maybe get a list of needed items and a way for us to get those items to the people who need them. Additionally, how to properly disperse the GoFundMe to the residents.
As of now, we still have this GoFundMe going and will work with these local organizations to help as best we can. Feel free to message me!
** Thank you to everyone reaching out! Local businesses and everything… thr pour out for our community is amazing.
Right now, as of 7:45PM on 6/10 Jayme and Dan Fahrer are picking up 20 pizzas from Scottos Pizza on Route 33 to hand out to displaced residents and first responders.
We set a fairly arbitrary goal of $10,000 to assist our neighbors in whatever way we can. This is likely only a small drop in the bucket as to what was lost, but let's do what we can.
As of this moment, there is an entire parking lot full of East Windsor residents who had to evacuate and at the moment have nowhere to go. We'll keep you updated as we know more.
9:08PM edit: We have just sent an email to Sgt. Carabelli at EWPD on how to ensure that the funds are dispersed properly. (I'm sure he has bigger things going on right now, so I won't anticipate a response right away)
