Stand with Fern in Her Time of Need

The last two years for Fern have been beyond challenging - mentally, physically emotionally and financially. Any help is appreciated and definitely hard to ask for if you’re like Fern and not used to asking for help! If you know Fern you know she is usually the one helping so this is uncomfortable for her but as she advises others to ask for help when they need it she knows it is only right that she do the same.

This funding will help her to pay for food and other necessities as Social Security is not enough to live off of. Two years ago she fractured her back at L3. It was a summer of great pain with surgery in August 2022. Eight days later she fractured L4.. another surgery a month later. The recovery was long as muscles and nerves take their time to recover. The summer of 2023 was the summer of Physical Therapy. December of 2023 was cataract surgery followed by multiple complications, three of them, allergies to many eye drops, eye CME and last week (6-20/24) Yag Laser Surgery. There was a third vertebral fracture mid April 2024. If there is another fracture, it will be rods and hardware. The osteoporosis was missed by several doctors over 8 years. A daily injection is now requited to rebuild bone. This changes how she makes enough money to live off of in that she can no longer sell crystals at metaphysical fairs.
