Stand with Gary and Joann in Their Time of Need

Hello,

My name is Liz Loomans, and I'm here fundraising because two outstanding members of the Christian community in Cincinnati, Gary and Joann (Ashley) Loomans are in great need. They also happen to be my in-laws.

Gary and Joann have spent their entire adult lives serving others in Cincinnati. As their longest-serving staff member, Gary has worked for City Gospel Mission since before it was City Gospel Mission. Joann joined him there about twenty years ago. Working hand-in-hand, they have run youth groups, summer camps, Bible studies, tutoring programs...the list goes on. Joann now works for Cincinnati Children's Hospital, connecting patients and their families with the resources they need to make their time in the hospital more bearable. At work, at home and at church, Gary and Joann have touched and made better more lives than I can count.

And now they need our help.

Last year, Gary was diagnosed with Parkinson's. We've been left reeling, as we've watched Gary and Joann come to terms with what this means for their future and move forward. Then, a few weeks ago, while taking a well-deserved vacation in Florida, Gary fell and broke his hip in a boating accident. Since then, he and Joann have been stuck in Florida as he heals enough to be moved back home. Not only do they need help with the medical bills, but they must update their home to accommodate for Gary's limited mobility, both now and in the future as Parkinson's progresses.

And that's why I'm here, asking you, personally, to lend a financial hand to two people so very dear to me and this community.
