Stand with Gregg: Heart Transplant Fund
Donation protected
If you have met Gregg, you know he’d give you the shirt off his back. He’s quick to lend a hand, and does it with a smile. He served in the United States Air Force as a gunner on a C130 gunship. He’s an active member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church. Gregg loves to roller skate. He’s a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Right now, Gregg needs your help. He is currently a patient at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida waiting on a heart for a heart transplant.
Gregg became a patient at The Mayo Clinic on March 19, 2024. He will continue to be a patient in the ICU until he receives a heart. He is currently hooked up to an intra-aortic balloon pump that is keeping his heart strong and functioning. The doctors want him to remain active and walk daily, but he has to have a nurse by his side 24/7. Once he receives a heart he has another 3 months of recovery and rehab in the hospital.
Because of all this, Gregg will be out of work for an indeterminate amount of time. Jennifer, his wife, will have to relocate to Jacksonville once he gets a heart so that he will have a round-the-clock caregiver. This puts an enormous strain on their family.
I am posting this on behalf of Gregg and Jennifer. Gregg has been a true father to me over the past 20 years. I will continue to post updates here and pray the call comes in soon!
