April’s medication alone costs over $20,000 per month—expenses not fully covered by insurance, and Guy has maxed out his credit cards to cover the costs. This is in addition to the day-to-day costs of raising their three young boys, who are 14, 12, and 8 years old. Guy has taken on the responsibilities of caregiving and keeping life as stable as possible for their sons, who are trying to understand why their mom is slipping away from them bit by bit. The medical treatments, therapy, and daily support April needs are vital, but they come at a price that is incredibly difficult to manage, especially when Guy has to balance work, caring for April, and parenting three active young boys.
