Stand with Jason and Amy in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
My name is Michelle Saylor, and my husband, Daniel, and I have been friends with the Sharony’s for 20+ years. I met Jason about a year before I met Daniel, and Daniel met Jason a few years prior to then. Together, we all became family. Our first home was a home we rented from Amy’s family; we brought our son home to this house. Jason was a groomsman jn our wedding. Jason helped both of us during a particularly trying time in our marriage. We both have sons the same age, 3 weeks apart, and Jason joins us on our yearly pilgrimage back to Missouri to visit with Daniel’s friends and family. To say our lives are intertwined is an understatement. We love them all, and our hearts are breaking for the unimaginable pain and suffering they’re going through right now.
In the words of Jason: “In January of 2025, I found my wife on the floor of our bedroom, too weak to get into bed. I took her to the hospital, where she stayed for nearly two weeks. There we found out that Amy had a large mass of cervical cancer that has metastasized into her liver and possibly her lungs and hips. Amy went through chemotherapy as soon as she could. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy weakened her so much that she immediately got a very bad infection; now Amy is in the hospital again, recovering from two surgeries where most of her intestines were removed and the remainder reconnected. Amy has survived so much, but I know I need help to keep her alive - so much help. Amy and I have a family-run hybrid homeschool where, with the help of a few fantastic others, we run a full-time middle school and high school. This is the greatest accomplishment of my life, but the school is in danger of failing without Amy. But most importantly, me and our 2 kids need Amy. With all my love, Jason.”
I am asking for donations to help relieve some of the financial burden so that they can focus on recovery. Any little bit helps, and not only would we greatly appreciate it for our wonderful friends, but they would be forever grateful for the help. Thank you.
