Stand with Kelly: A Journey to Healing

Hey ya'll. My name is Tina and Kelly is one of my dearest friends. If you have followed The Sugar Shack with Mrs Munson for any amount of time, you know Kelly is all about Family. She is a dedicated Mother, Wife, and Friend. She is the kind of person who will give you her shirt from her back if you needed it.

A few years ago, Kelly's husband had a bad accident at work that led not only to the loss of his income, but to tons of surgeries, time in the hospital, but also severe pain and depression. Kelly was steadfast and was by his side through all of it. She dedicated five times the amount of work into her business so she could provide for the family while still managing a busy household, an intense medical schedule, and insurmountable legal issues to protect her husband.

Earlier this year, that all changed. Her Husband became emotionally and verbally abusive. At a time when it became harder to generate income for Kelly, she was forced from her home. She had to go before a judge and now there is a protection order in place for both of them and they are alternating weeks in the family home.

Although she was fighting to keep her head above water and fight for her marriage and family, things have gotten much worse. On her weeks at the home, he has shut down the internet to impede her from generating income. Turned the gas off, and blocked her entry to the home just to name a few.

She now has to find a way to defend herself and pull the pieces back together. She has to hire an attorney to file a petition to have the protection order lifted so she can return to work in the corporate world. She has a job offer, but cannot have the protection order as part of thier background check. She also has to protect herself as her marriage unfortunately ends. Not to mention, be able to support herself--as he is not willing to support the family now that he has the means.

At this point, Kelly needs our help friends. This is not a scam, it is real life, and unfortunately hers is unfolding before us because as a content creator, you are all let into our lives. We need to help Kelly raise the money to get started on the road back to herself so her spirit and heart can heal and she can move forward.

If you have ever experienced verbal or emotional abuse at the hands of a loved one or maybe you know someone who has...your sister, your aunt, your daughter, your girlfriend, your mother, then you know the damage it does it horrible. If you have ever had a man make everything your fault, gaslighting you to the point that you are starting to question yourself. If he has ever cheated or had an emotional affair and had you question your worth....you know the damage it causes is catastrophic to your soul. As an abuse survivor myself, I can tell you, it destroys your self esteem and self worth. You feel stupid and worthless and pathetic. I heard my friend Kelly say this the other night and it just broke my heart that my beautiful, strong, and gracious friend has been made to feel this way about herself.

So let's come together and show her she is none of those things. Let's help lift her up from the floor, dust her off and hold her hand as she takes the steps toward healing. Please give what you can, and may God bless you for it.
