Support the Los Angeles Fire Department in Battling the Devastating Palisades Fire
On January 7, 2025, the Palisades Fire erupted in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, rapidly becoming the most destructive wildfire in the city's history. Fueled by severe drought conditions and powerful Santa Ana winds with gusts up to 100 mph, the fire has scorched over 15,832 acres, destroyed more than 1,000 structures, and forced the evacuation of approximately 37,000 residents.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) has deployed over 1,400 firefighters who are working tirelessly to contain the blaze and protect our community. Their efforts have been hampered by challenges such as low water pressure in hydrants and the grounding of firefighting aircraft due to intense winds.
In this time of crisis, our campaign aims to raise funds directly for the LAFD to support their heroic efforts. Your generous contributions will be used to:
- Provide Critical Equipment and Resources: Ensuring firefighters have access to essential tools, such as heavy-duty bulldozers and tractors, to create fire breaks and manage the wildfire effectively.
- Support Logistics and Relief Efforts: Assisting with the coordination of evacuation centers and the provision of necessary supplies for displaced residents.
- Enhance Firefighting Infrastructure: Addressing issues like water supply challenges to improve the efficiency and safety of firefighting operations.
The LAFD is also in need of specialized equipment, including single-layer personal protective equipment and advanced medical equipment for their Advance Provider Response Units.
By donating to this campaign, you are directly supporting the brave men and women who are risking their lives to protect our homes, our loved ones, and our city. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact in combating this disaster and aiding in the recovery of our community.
Thank you for standing with us and the Los Angeles Fire Department during this critical time.
