Stand with Lexi in Her Health Battle

Dear friends and family,

Now that a couple of weeks have gone by we wanted to update you and give you a little bit of a back story into Lexi’s current health battle. Like we previously said, on June 14th Lexi suffered a medical emergency, she collapsed suddenly in her parents house and coded a total of 4 times one time for 12 minutes, ultimately the doctors decided to put her on an EMCO machine. A few days ago she was taken off of life support which is good, but unfortunately has a very long road ahead of her as far as her recovery. We are not sure what kind of brain damage she has suffered but what we do know is that she will have to be transferred to a full time rehabilitation facility. We don’t know for how long she will remain in the hospital and also don’t know what her recovery will look like. Lexi will also be turning 26 in a few days and will no longer be eligible for her father’s health insurance. As we all know, Lexi is an amazing friend, sister, and daughter, and the light she brings into our lives is unlike anything we can express in words. Her infectious spirit and positive energy radiates through her, and we are remaining hopeful as Lexi would that she can make a speedy and full recovery through this.
