Stand with Madelyne and Wendy: A Call for Help

My name is Jennifer McNair and I am Wendy’s sister-in-law and Madelyne's aunt. I created this Go Fund Me because they need your help. They received devastating news. Madelyne has battled her entire life, but the past 12 months have been the toughest. Madelyne has been admitted 11 times in the past 12 months and 8 of those have been since September. Madel has been dealing with non convulsive seizures, encephalopathy, bacterial pneumonia, septic shock 8 times since September and 11 times in the past 12 months and neurostorming. These have been the results of her having meningitis five years ago. She had an intense two hour MRI on Friday. Tomorrow, she will have a lumbar puncture and a MRI of her brain. Her dedicated care team at Akron Children’s have decided that she needs to remain in the hospital until June or July(worst case scenario). She had already been in for three weeks.

To be frank, this is Madelyne’s only option.

In the past 26 weeks, Wendy has only been able to work roughly 6-10 hours per week. Every day normal expenses have been adding up and will continue to increase.
