Stand with Malcolm's Family in Their Time of Need

My name is Ashley Minton and with permission from our family I am starting this GoFundMe to raise funds while my cousin’s little boy is in the hospital. Malcolm Aldridge is an energetic little 5 year old boy with the most contagious laugh. Malcolm has been in and out of Vanderbilt over the past few months with episodes that they could not explain. On Tuesday June 18th, Malcolm was airlifted to Vanderbilt after having more episodes which they are now confirming to be seizures. It took a couple of days and several medications before they could get Malcolm to stop seizing. He had to be intubated and has a NG tube as well as several IVs. Malcolm has undergone 2 specialized MRIs, 2 spinal taps and dozens of other tests, which have yet to lead to answers as to what the underlying issue really is. On Saturday, They began to wean Malcolm off of some of his seizure meds and his sedation and vent to see how he responded, he was able to shake his head yes or no to answer questions and we were very excited. Unfortunately, he took a turn and began to seize again and had to go back on all seizure meds. Today, Monday June 24th, they have inserted a PICC line and they have him heavily sedated. We are pleading and begging for prayers for answers for this sweet boy! Malcolm’s mom and dad as well as his grandparents are traveling back and forth to Nashville every day and someone is staying with him at all times as well. It looks as though Malcolm will be in the hospital for an extended period of time and this family could use monetary donations to allow them to be with their sweet boy as much as possible and help with meals and bills as they have to miss work. While monetary donations cannot heal Malcolm, they can help ease the burden on the family so that they can focus solely on this precious boy.
