Help Support Maria's Silent Struggle

Hi, my name is Madelyn and today I'm reaching out with a heartfelt request on behalf of my sister, Maria.

Maria is the Animal Control Officer for Barnegat and a staple in this community as well as many other communities.

Many of you know Maria because you're our family, childhood friends, her coworkers, or because she's extended her kindness to help you with a beloved pet or even a neighborhood stray.

For those of you who may not know Maria, she is a beacon of compassion and selflessness, especially when it comes to animals. Her unwavering love, care, and dedication have made her an unparalleled advocate for our furry friends. Day in and day out, she works tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of every animal in her care.

It's Maria's resilience and generosity that truly set her apart. She's a beacon of hope and kindness in our community, someone we can always depend on to extend a helping hand with no expectation of return. She will do anything for anyone, regardless if she knows you or not, which is uncommon these days.

Despite the challenges she faces, Maria maintains her radiant smile and never lets on just how tough things are for her. She’s the kind of person who would never ask for help, no matter the circumstances. But the reality is, Maria is currently shouldering a heavy burden.

As her sister, I watch her silently struggle. Though she would never admit it, Maria needs our support. She is independently trying to keep things (in her personal life) afloat financially on her own with working not one, but TWO jobs.

My hopes are that we as a community (family and friends) can come together and support one of our own, who is always there for us.
