Stand with Mark Cooley: Beat Throat Cancer

Hi Everyone,

Most of you probably know our dad, Mark Cooley, the guy who's been painting business and homes around town for years. He's the one you might see cruising around Jacksboro in his old blue suburban, To us, though, he's just DAD- the guy who's always been there for us, no matter what. He's worked hard his whole life to provide for our family and has always been ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Now its our turn to help him.

As many of you know, Dad's been diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer. The good news is that the doctors believe it's treatable with chemotherapy and radiation. He has already started chemotherapy and almost finished the first round. The next step is a seven-week course of radiation, five days a week, along with another day of chemotherapy also. This will all take place in Fort Worth, but before he can begin, he needs to have his teeth extracted. The doctors wont move forward with radiation unless this is done, because leaving the teeth in could cause more issues and make everything harder for him down the road.

The procedure is going to cost around $4500, which is a big hurdle, since Dad has been out of work for months and his bills and medical bills are piling up. We're trying to raise this money as quickly as possible so he can move forward with his treatment and continue fighting this cancer.
