Stand with Megan Epley in Her Health Battle
Donation protected
This is Megan Epley, she just turned 13 January of this year. She attends school at Franklin Simpson Middle school and goes to church at Franklin Community church here in Franklin. In April she started getting very sick and the doctors couldn’t figure out what was causing it. She had to be put on homebound after she fell down the steps at school. Within the next few days her condition only got worse to the point she could no longer walk or sit up on her own, on Mother’s Day she was admitted into Vanderbilt Children’s hospital. She spent the next 17 days there. They are still not sure what is causing all of her problems. What we do know is she has a liver disease that has caused cirrhosis of the liver, along with many other complications. May 29th she was able to come home but still had to have around the clock medical treatments including about 30 pills a day and is still on a feeding tube. Her parents have been out of work to be with her, he dad has went back to work but her mother still has to stay with her so they are down to 1 income. There are piles of dr bills and several weekly trips to specialist until they can figure out the main cause and treatment plan. I’m making this to try and help take away some of that financial burden.
