Stand with Melissa: Facing Tough Times

My name is Mira Wind, and I am reaching out alongside Elizabeth Nields on behalf of our beloved friend and community member, Melissa Parker. Melissa has been facing an incredibly difficult time and is struggling to make ends meet.

Her challenges began with a cancer diagnosis in 2023, which, of course, not only affected her health but also made it impossible for her to work due to ongoing treatments. Recently, after returning to work, her vehicle, experienced serious issues and ultimately broke down beyond repair. To make matters worse, she also lost her beloved grandmother and has received notice that she must find alternative housing—all during this incredibly challenging time.

Without her car, Melissa is unable to go to appointments necessary for her recovery and healing, to get to her job, and she is running out of time to figure out a way forward—she has until the weekend before March 17th to find a solution. Despite the sadness and despair that have overwhelmed her, she continues to fight and rise above these hardships with remarkable strength and courage.

Now, more than ever, Melissa needs the support of her friends, loved ones, and community. We are asking for your help to provide both emotional and financial assistance to ensure she doesn’t have to face these challenges alone.
