Stand with Michael White Against Hate

Hi, my name is Shawna, I am setting this up for a wonderful boy named Michael White who was involved in a violent act on June 1st at 1:53 am in the Plaza of University Village.

Michael was out celebrating his 19th birthday with 3 of his friends when they were leaving the bar, they then heard homophobic slurs being yelled from a vehicle. Michael ignored them and continued standing at the curb talking with other people who were also waiting on Ubers, when the driver then got out of the car and ran towards Michael, proceeded to grab him by his head and smash it into the curb, stomped on his head, and get on top of him to continue beating on him, as he is beating on him he is repeating the homophobic slurs from before.

Michael is now suffering from a brain bleed, a broken nose, and other injuries.

Michael had to be taken in an ambulance from one hospital but because of his injures he needed to be transported to another hospital where they could tend to the trauma he had endured. Michael does not have medical coverage, so any donations to help cover the cost of his medical bills would be appreciated.
