Stand with Micka Nugent in Her Time of Need

Donation protected

Dear Friends,

On April 12, 2024, Mickaëlla Nugent (Micka) was involved in a serious car accident in Harriman, New York. She was rushed to the Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, New York in critical condition where doctors scrambled to save her life. She eventually was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York where a lifesaving surgery was performed. She remains hospitalized in Westchester surrounded by family and friends who anxiously monitor her condition.

While our thoughts and prayers are with Micka at this difficult time, we are kicking off a fundraising campaign to help her and her family with mounting medical expenses. But first, let us tell you a little bit about Micka and her family.

The Nugent family has a long and proud tradition of service to this country. Micka’s father, Brian, is a United States Marine Corps (USMC) veteran who bravely served in the Persian Gulf War. Afterwards, he became a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Brian has been a Special Agent for over twenty years, serving in the FBI's field offices in New Orleans and New York City.

Micka proudly followed in her father’s footsteps. She enlisted in the Marine Corps and rose to the rank of Sergeant. She specialized as a Military Police officer and later became a Special Reaction Team (SRT) leader. Micka’s Marine Corps experience instilled in her the values of discipline and steadfast dedication, which she has carried into her post-military career.

Micka earned a degree in Psychology with a particular focus on peace and justice studies. She continued to challenge herself as she pursued her interest in martial arts. She currently manages an elite Martial Arts school in New York City, where she nurtures a diverse membership, including active military personnel, veterans, and first responders. She is deeply passionate about mental health awareness, women’s rights, and veterans’ well-being.

Micka’s road to recovery will be long and difficult. However, Micka will undoubtedly take on this challenge with the same strength and tenacity that she has exhibited as a Marine and a martial artist. But she needs your support now more than ever. Please spread the word and share this campaign. All funds raised will go to the Nugent family to help offset any medical expenses. Your generosity will ease the family’s financial burden so they can focus on Micka’s well-being and rehabilitation.
